Hey, i’m Robin

A Scottish film photographer and the creator of Through the Grain — an ongoing documentary series exploring culture, society, and work across the UK.

For me, film photography is a way of making sense of the world — built on the belief that creativity can make the world a better place by helping us connect more deeply with each other and the world around us.

Shooting on medium format and 35mm film, my work is rooted in that same sense of curiosity and desire to look more closely at the everyday. It’s been described as raw, grounded, and reflective — drawn to moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed but often hold a quiet story or understated beauty of their own.

Whether working independently or in collaboration, I try to create work that holds meaning — for me, and hopefully for others too.
